A fair while ago I proposed a ride finishing at the Red Door Bakery in Croydon. The ride was going to be an early starter, starting a 6ish down at Henley and heading into the hills.

At least one other person is keen to see the ride come to fruition after all this time. We could use it as training for the Ride for Pain.

Any takers?

As per A.V.O's comment - 6:45 was the original intended time, is anyone oppsed to returning to that time. To be honest, if I start at 6 you guys will catch me by the City.

I will be doing this run this Sunday, but officially shall we call it Sunday after Easter?

I've just found out my other half has a cooking function on Sunday morning. :-(

So Sunday after Easter sounds like a plan.

and if your looking for a ride saturday i hear theres a ride out of glenelg

didnt think you would mind since your a member, cheers David

might join you on the sunday rides since i back up again in the hills on most sundays, invitation pending

One of these days I will join you all too.

My apologies to anyone that was planning on joining me for my scouting run this morning. A very sad 5 year old girl has thwarted my ambitions. See you on the week after easter.

For those who are interested I will be informally (that's right - no tie) riding from henley to Nortons to Lofty and down to Red Door this Sun. Leaving Henley at 6:45 or so. If anyone else would like to ride this route at the same time, you are more than welcome.

.... and it happens again.

I am sitting here in full gear at 6am nursing a screaming one year old this time. Sorry to miss my own ride again.

A one year old? A baby that young should fit nicely in the back pocket of your top :)

I wish!

what kind of speeds do you average on hills?

I'm not quick. I guess 15-20 km up the hill. Maybe 25 overall. Coming down the hill I'm a little slower!
