Okay, so being in the design game, I'm a little obsessed by this stuff at the moment.
Normally I'm a sucker for clothing like Ted Baker and I feel I have now found its cycling equivalent. I love their products, have that great nostalgic look and is supposedly really good quality stuff. Very sexy product delivery in the photography and website design too.
More to the point, it is expensive. Has anyone bought any Rapha gear before? How do their sizes compare to others? I have two pairs of Santini bib shorts but am looking to decrease my reliance on them and bring another pair into the rotation since I'm doing a few more rides a week now.
Permalink Reply by Nathan Adams on February 21, 2012 at 8:26 I've got a few of their items, but from the city riding range (so more casual wear optimised for riding, rather than bibs and jerseys). Their stuff fits on the slim side, and the quality is top notch. I can particularly vouch for the gingham long sleeve shirt, and the leather town gloves.
They are expensive, but they do have sales from time to time, particularly towards the end of each season.
top quality gear, another upside is that their sales revolve around the UK riding calendar meaning they'll be chucking their Autumn/Winter range on sale next (as long as you can handle being 1/2 a year behind the latest fashions).

and yes I can handle 1/2 a year; I'm not that much of a fashionista!
Permalink Reply by Trevor Hill on February 21, 2012 at 21:29 One piece of cycling clothing I wouldn't be with out these days is a merino wool t-shirt. They wick away the sweat, cool in summer, warm in winter. On a tour you can wear them for a few days and they don't smell and retain BO like cotton.
Picked up a couple the other day from www.1-daytee.com.au for $20. They where Derek Brand Ex NZ made in China. Well made and good quality.

The top half I found to be a little larger but that is probbaly because they have lycra style material for somesleeves and panels so it's a litlte stretchier.
Good luck (go to Melbourne and try it on!)
