RAAM starts in a couple of weeks (at Oceanside, California). About 8 days later the best ultra-endurance cyclists will be peddling into Annapolis, Maryland (on the East Coast of the US), 4800 km away. See www.raceacrossamerica.org

Australian, Matthew Warner Smith, will be racing this year (http://racingmatt.blogspot.com.au/). He did so in 2010, coming 3rd and winning Rookie of the year, King of the mountains and Kings of the Prairies.

Unfortunately, about 10 days ago his climbing bike was stolen!

The great people at Velocite have provided him with a 'Geos 3' to auction to raise the funds for a replacement. The winner will be drawn on teh 8th June 2012.
