Yesterday, my Garmin 500 kept Auto-Pausing, even though I was still riding at a decent speed.  So a 20km ride showed as 2km...grrr... I also run the Speed/Cadence sensors.  Anyone know what's going on?

P.P.S.  when finished riding ensure crank arm with magnet is not next to cadance / speed sensor

and clip on spokes is not next to cadance / speed sensor, even if main unit is powered down the cadence / speed sensor is not, it is always in standby mode

Wow, I had no idea about that, thanks Brett.

I've been away from a computer all day until now. Thanks a lot everyone, some great suggestions here. I'll let you know what it is when I've sorted it out. Looks like tomorrow mornings ride though will be gps free.

Flat battery. Replaced it and it's good as new.
