poor vision due to rain and condensation on glasses
Does anyone have any good ways for making prescription glasses water repellant?
I looked through some older discussions and the only two methods that I could find were Rain-X, or eye laser surgery! I'm not going for the surgery just yet and I need to wear the glasses during the day for work.

Olive oil gently wiped on and off mostly.. I dunno, I saw something recently about keeping your iPad screen smear free.

when it's really raining i just take my specs off and put them in my pocket. Although i still cant see it's less irritating and I can still see the trucks and cars.

I'll do a bit more of a search as I don't think this problem is unique to cycling. Motorcyclists, skiiers, car wash attendants...
Don raises a good point that putting chemicals on your glasses could be harmful to your eyes unless they are specifically designed for that purpose, hence I'm not that keen on Rain-X (unless there is a type specific for glasses and goggles).
I haven't come across anything at work that might help, other than a full face mask, and I aint doing that! I have had safety glasses breifly fog up when exhaling through a non-valved dust mask, and that can happen when it is dry and the temperature is in the 30's.

You point your wand at them and say "impervio". Works during quidditch matches.
Sorry I don't have an answer. It's a real bugger. Sometimes I just stick them back in the case and ride without. It's all a bit blurry but it's all a bit blurry with them on in the rain.
What I do know is if you clean them before going out when the rain stops and the glasses dry they seem to dry without any leaving any stains from the drops.
