Some of my friends were out mtn biking in the forest about 5 minutes from here and were fortunate enough to get some pictures of a bear. The berry crop is really good this year so the bears are happy, happy. The salmon are coming up the river now too, so they'll be down there aplenty soon  : ) Feel heaps lucky to have these animals so close by that we run into them out and about on bike rides and runs : )

 that makes magpies bearable!

Given the run I'm having with magpies at the moment, I think it would now be wise to cancel the MTB component of my upcoming trip to Canada!

How much can a Koala bear?

Koala are not Bears I hate to tell you!!!

They are marsupials as they carry their young in pouch.

Learned that when I came to australia, in germany everyone calls them bears.

I know.  It wouldn't have been funny if I hadn't used the wrong term.  Maybe it still isn't funny.  I could have used a drop bear

Love the drop bear sign!!

That bear isn't very big....I mean he's only about the same size as Konadog's big thumb (see lower photo).

When I saw the title I thought Rob had been spotted again....  ;)

He looks like he's looking for a rabbit, or a nice quiet spot in the woods.

Good job Phil Crick wasn't on the ride. You'd call out "Bear left" and he would, and end up lost again.

Pat - ROFL... our sat Nav has John Clease and he reqularly says "bare right, beaver left"

Listen to preview 2 I am surprised we get anywhere in the car!
