Website sponsors and all round nice people Procyclingtours.com are hosting a group ride from Norwood to the Lobethal TDU start (and finish) on Wednesday 18th January leaving at 8am. The ride will be vehicle supported if you need some help. It's a great opportunity to ride with other like minded cyclists and former pro rider (and 2004 TDU winning team member Steve Cunningham). While you're out on the ride you can ask everything there is to ask about cycling in Europe - the know a thing or two about it.

ride to watch Stage 2 from Lobethal to Stirling.Our very own Steve Cunningham, former 5 time TDU rider (including part of the winning team in 2004) will provide support on the road while our vehicle will follow from Norwood to Lobethal then onto Bridgewater with mechanical support, refreshments and general cheering duties!

who’d like a coffee beforehand, we’ll be there from 7.45am)
8.00 – 10.00 - 2 Hour steady ride to Lobethal, via Norton Summit, Basket
Range and Lenswood. (Quite undulating with beautiful scenery)
10.00am -Arrive Lobethal (around the same time as the pro teams)
11.00am -Watch stage start in Lobethal
11.10am -Depart Lobethal and ride toward Balhannah
depending in road closures, we’ll navigate our secret and sealed backroads
to Verdun and through to Bridgewater)
12.30pm - Arrive Bridgewater Mill where we will provide everyone with
options.
1. Position yourself on the final climb and watch the race pass by 3 times
2. Ride to Stirling and position near the finish line and watch race 3 times.
3. Ride back to Adelaide.

An update on our Wednesday 18th procyclingtours.com TDU ride.
We are anticipating a great bunch ride out to Lobethal and on to Bridgewater and Stirling, with 50-80 riders coming along.
With this in mind we will be at CIBO Norwood Parade from 7.30AM for all those wanting a coffee and a chat beforehand. We are pleased to offer a FREE coffee to the first 40 riders!
Make sure you collect your wristband from us so we can identify you out on the road.
7.50 AM - Steve will give a briefing about our ride, the Tour stage and the day ahead.
8.00 AM SHARP! – Depart for our ride via Norton Summit (new road). We will ride as a whole group to the base of the Summit and then you can enjoy the first climb and the rest of the ride through the hills at your own pace.
We will have 3 procyclingtours.com support crew on the road and two support vehicles offering free snacks, water and mechanical backup.
Although a light morning shower is forecast, it will be a warm day so stay hydrated and nourished. Cold soft drinks, powerade and bottled water will be available for purchase from the support cars for $2.
Don’t forget your spare tube (we have limited for sale should you need one).
