Yes, like the quick quote calculator but $30-00 per month seems more than my car insurance :(

Wouldn't PACC have an insurance scheme for members?

The sensible option is called don't race a bike you can't afford to crash.

Quite a lot of people are riding their nice bikes in training, and their chinese 'crabon bieks' in racing....!

Cyclecover, and Willis both do race cycling insureance 1300 WILLIS

not sure if you were joking in your comment Clive, but No Cycling Aust insurance is for body only and 3rd party damages - not to bike and equipment

The Willis insurance is the same insurer as for the members personal, 3rd party personal and property and professional imdemnity you do get as part of CA. Give them a try.

Thanks Gemma and Leeanne....will have a look at both of these suggestions....like your idea of riding the crappy carbon thingo in races :)

nah, if you can afford to spend that kind of money on a push bike then you dont need insurance

I'm looking at insuring my EPS with home and contents, looking now. Like know if anyone has any ideas also.

Have a read hear also. http://www.cyclingtipsblog.com/2011/03/bicycle-insurance-australia/

Paul.

Swann Insurance do a product called Cycle Smart that compares well but the main difference is it offers 3rd party cover.

I'm with cyclecover.....

Yes, I can afford the bike, but should something unfortunate happen, It would take a long time for me to save enough to replace it.

I'm with velosure for my cervelo and found them very good to deal with, very personable service. They are underwritten by the same company that do Real Insurance. Very similar PDS's. Best to go for the PDS that suits you.
