No photos taken today so I'll have to dig up a few from the archives for this ride by the beach.

Nine riders left Rimini and two more were picked up along the route which made for a nice sized group for a ride along the coast to Aldinga and back via the S.Exy.

The ride started bang on time and after a quick stop to pick up Gill's mudguard which decided it wasn't needed as the rain was not going to bother us today so it fell off her bike. The second and luckily last mechanical for the day was the usual Paul McGregor puncture ;), luckily we had a nice sea view while he fixed it and most riders tok the opportunity to remove rain jackets and arm warmers as the sun popped out and we basked in the warmth.

Paul's next bike, no punctures and perfect for the beach.

A short stop at Becks saw Michelle and Zippy join the group and we were off along the coast to Moana before the undulations of Commercial/Old Coach Rd to the Port Willunga turn off. A really crappy road surface along this stretch in places didn't make for an enjoyable run along here, lift you game City of Onkaparinga

Peter Hill's new bike, everything but the kitchen sink, including Gill's mudguard.

As we headed south past Aldinga, myself and Paul at the rear the group kept going, and going, and going. Past the Aldinga Beach turn off and off into the distance, sneaky GS4 training by Michelle?

I think we should have turned by now

Not to worry, the weather was fairly mild and the wind was at our backs as we turned back up California Rd and headed towards McLaren Vale and the bike path back to Seaford and a detour past Zippy's house before the final run to Rimini's. I left before we got to Hallett Cove so I don't know who ended up there but it's a good excuse to post this.

Till next time.

Nice save with the photos Pat.

I'll get back to this after I have sorted out the never ending jersey saga........

Looking forward to this once RD7 soccer season finishes in 7 weeks !

great ride with a great group..  Good to see you back on the bike Gillian.

thanks for arranging Pat.

Thanks Richard. I had bailed, but got talked back into it courtesy of Mr Smith who didn't want hills because he is of a pain in the ass. Not the smash-fest I expected but I was pretty smashed about 10km from home!

Thanks for waiting and regrouping guys. Thanks to Pete for being mudguard courier - every group should have a cargo-biker :)

Now to find an industrious plumber who can design a ride-thru bike wash at the end of Muddies rides. Hmm..........

Great improvisation Pat.

I was coming out...had my Muddies jersey ready....then.....

fail Matt again!

I was just waiting for you to tell him off (again)

Great ride again everyone. Thanks!

Thanks everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, I might get a set of Mickey Thompson mud terrain tyres for my bike had enough punctures to last a life time.

I will try not to Hijack any more rides my GS training is done, next week will be the big test.

My First Strava KOM up the climb to the Sullies Boat Ramp, just before the puncture, hay I must of been going to fast for my tyres?

Thanks for letting me tag along for a while guys and yes good to see Gillian out on the bike.

My new jacket held up in the rain that was no where to be seen today lol

Paul I think you should rename yourself to P Fairy McGregor :-)

I'm about to have dinner but the photo of the eggs benedict has got me going!

thanks for organising the ride Pat.
