MOTORHOME/BIKE Tour of Italy..Sicily to Switzerland!!
Hello Fellow riders!
My name is Sebastian..Have cycled locally since 1974!..And after many trips to Italy for cycling,I am hoping to share my experiences and contacts with a select number of local riders who are REALLY keen to ride some of the best roads italy has to offer at a very reasonable price!
The basic details are..We leave from Venice airport JULY 13th(am)and return on the 26th..that is the SOuth section from Sicily to Venice..
The North section starts on July 30th and returns Aug 4th..in all about 3 weeks to see the best regions of Italy..high point is the Stelvio then Gavia pass.
The plan is we ride UPTO 120kms per day then hop into the M.Home and cruisetour/sightsee to the SET destination which will be the next day's departure point.
My friend and I are looking for up to 2..maybe 3 riders of a decent standard..who are Reliable and of GOOD Character..ie..Decent people! IF you can speak Italian..Great!
Cost ESTIMATE for the 3 weeks inc MH hire..fuel..basic food needs..about $2,000-2,500 PP.(Please compare that with the escorted tours..it's about 1/4 the price..I am NOT making ANY money out of this!..AND they won't take you to the South!!)
Cost Est does NOT include Airfare...It is a great chance to ride the best roads in italy..get great clothes etc..cheap..eat Super food and drink wines/beer at very cheap prices!!
Plus I will film most of it on my GoProHero2 Camera mounted to my H.Stem.

This would be right up my alley if I had the time & money to spare. Good luck with your trip, and finding some companions (of good character ), but of course we're all nice on here !

Pete..Salute/Greetings!..If I had a Dollar for the nuber of times people have said..dream trip etc..you know..!
I will keep looking for those elusive 2..3 riders who can DO something re this dream trip..Once it's over I will work out how to get riders to see the film..I plan to do some dvd's for those who come..I already have several dvd's of my dolomites trips!
Sorry I did not put one of my dolomites pics in..could'nt work out how to!!

Ciao Sebastian...Pete..feel free to tell friends who can come/can go the distance re the rides!..It will be at a steady pace..but..the climbes can be short/long..18%..as Italy is very MOUNTAINOUS!
