Just had an email from a good mate. He was out riding with his girlfriend near Mylor when a couple of bozzos in a Commodore with P plates buzzed them and the passenger leant out and whacked my friends gf on the backside. My friend got a nice photo of the car as it sped off and reported the incident to the Stirling Police Station. Turns out the driver is a known offender and the vehicle is unregistered.
My friend didnt say what colour the car is but Im betting its the same bozzos in the white Commodore I encountered while out walking near Aldgate a few weeks back. They sped past and yelled abuse at a cyclist who happened to be passing me at the time.
If youre riding in the Stirling/Mylor area look out for these morons and report any incidents to the Stirling Police.

That is assault!
Permalink Reply by Gus K on October 4, 2012 at 10:29 It is most certainly assault and I am heartened that the police take these incidents seriously. Hitting and throwing stuff at cyclists needs to be stopped and it is a campaign I would like to see taken on by road safety groups. I have had discussions with some cycling advocates, MPs and others but it's a bit tricky because what we don't want to happen is copycat incidents.

Permalink Reply by crickets on October 7, 2012 at 8:03 That is most certainly aggravated indecent assault. Its exactly what happened to me, and the police took it very seriously.
Yup Bec had a similar experience on Military Road some time ago.

Permalink Reply by Martin Turner on October 4, 2012 at 21:40 Have to ok this with my friend first. Dont want to jeapordise any court proceedings that may result from the incident.
Will get back once Ive talked to my friend.
