Yeh... When I ride in the morning before work I'll ride to crafers up the bikeway...But to do this I must be out of bed by 4:15am. At first it wasn't easy... It's only getting easiER. Also re work and handling this, I will ride on days when I have shorter shifts or when I know my work days won't be as high demand. Having real quality carbs instead of processed white bread n processed sugar causes slumps.
I do morning rides more in autumn/winter n more rides in avo/evening rides when the sun is out to enjoy romantic sun sets with my bike :)
Happy riding :)
I prefer the ride home from work rather than the ride to work in the morning. Riding home gives me time to unwind from a day of work before I have to revert to "mum mode" :-)

If I'm riding on a day off it has to be an early start, I don't like commuting because of early starts (leaving home at 4.45) late finishes getting home after 8 or long shifts, too long shifts, too knackered after an 11 hour shift.

Sometimes in summer I might commute on an early shift but I prefer to take the bike on the car and have a ride before or after work from work and return home by car

Definately morning for me, nothing like being out in the air for 2 hours before you start work. Wakes you up! After work is home and family time.

I'm not really a morning person. I much prefer Lates at work, but these days I'm 1000-to fiveish give or take an hour, but some weeks I do plus 70 hours when interstate or in the country doing pilot medicals which frees up my mornings due to my contract arrangement. I struggle with exercising in the Arvo. I have noticed I can do less reps at the gym and my motivation is crap. Why would you do 300 sit ups when you could just sit at the Austral in the sun and drink pale ales :)

When my gym membership laspses in july I won't keep it going, I'm just going to buy a bench press and a heap of free weights for my home. I'm really not aiming to be mr universe, I just like to feel/look healthy.

I usually try to ride in the afternoon as it gives me the motivation to get my work done so I can go for a ride before dinner

I cant just jump out of bed and go i need to work up to it first, I also work a lot of split shifts, and run in my breaks or go for a spin up norton or the freeway I hate the wasted time in between shifts so i need to do something then.
