Looks like the magpie season is starting so thought we could start to collate where they are trying to make friends with cyclists.

List the location on here so others know what to expect!

Or at Adelaide train stations, June to December!

Got swooped to start the season in June this year by the Marino Rocks Train Station bomber and finished last season in December by a kamikaze into the side of my face by the Brighton Train Station bomber...

I am currently working on the reporting map. It's more complicated for me than past years but better for all of you. It'll be great! I'll hopefully have it up soon. I'm just testing it now.

OK. As you guys are the ones getting hammered already would you like to be beta testers for me?

Go to the page, use the form to report the location and the map will be updated in a few hours by me (it's manual). I've got a couple in there from comments here already. This year I've managed to come up with an easier reporting tool. It's just a form so no one requires a Google account to add locations. You can use Google to determine the street address or if it is not on a street use the lat/long tool to find out the coordinates.

It's visible to all members but I'll make it more public next week. Enjoy!

Gus, you could get some locations from
Magpie season – Posted on 2-Jul-2012 – http://www.adelaidecyclists.com/forum/topics/magpie-season

Those victims can post them up now or in time. It's early days.

Thanks for your efforts Gus.

I'm a bit of an IT retard, and it doesn't appear to be very simple.  I've just spent 15 mins trying to get something to work and nothing is happening. I'll spend a bit more time on it and feedback accordingly.

I guess you need to cater for the lowest common denominator, and with something like this, that person is me!

Anyone ever had a crash because of a magpie attack?  Our crows can get a little funny during nesting season, but nothing like the magpie scene you all are talking about...

Almost 100% certain that it would have happened Kona.  Not sure I can recall anything documented here locally, but someone might provide details of an incident.
