Looking to buy my first road bike!

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy my first road bike and was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on things I should be looking for in a bike! Im 20 years old and approx. 157cm tall, I want to ride to uni each day and also do some weekend rides! I don't want to spend a huge amount of money, but I would like to find a happy medium between price and quality. I may be also interested in good quality used bikes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yeh, she's bipolar. Sometimes she thinks shes a racing bike, other times she thinks she is an off roader!

Actually, this was shortly after I dodged a brown snake on the pathway!
