Joint SES and Army Reserve exercise in the Adelaide Hills this weekend

Joint SES and Army Reserve exercise in the Adelaide Hills this weekend so if you are riding, watch for extra traffic and large vehicles.

The SA State Emergency Service (SES) is conducting a joint training exercise with the Army Reserve in the Adelaide Hills this coming weekend (Friday 25 – Sunday 27 May). Sixty members of the SES will combine with 200 Army Reservists in Exercise ‘Rhino Crash’, which will run from 5pm this Friday 25 May through to lunchtime on Sunday, 27 May. The joint exercise will be held in the area around the Army’s barracks at Woodside, Mount Crawford Forest and the towns of Balhannah and Oakbank and will involve a range of scenarios including flooding, land search and evacuation.
