Hi, I would love some advice on an iphone bracket for my bike so I can fix it my handle bar in a secure manner which might be weather proof.

Someone mentioned a very good one to buy that will protect the phone as well but I cant remember what name he mentioned or who said it.

Eventually I will upgrade to a Garmin 800 so I can run cadence and heart rate etc but this will be good for the strava etc until I can upgrade.

What can people recommend or alternative suggest to avoid?

Thanks

A German company called "Fahrer" makes a good one that is available online:

Not sure how weather proof it is. It comes with a case that sticks to the bracket with velcro by the looks of it.

I have a topeak one you can try, I dont use it, I find a lip seal bag in my back pocket easier.

Cheers Matt I would like to give it a go.

I had thought the phone might be slightly safer on bar then on my back if I fell off.

I am using Birzman Zyklop-Navigator, a top tube bag which let you access your mobile phone while riding.
I don't use handle bar bracket since my handle bar have no space since there are a couple secondary brake lever.

I can say it is weather proof since there is a plastic that cover your phone but still let you use the touch screen.

That looks good, do your knees rub on it?

It is 8,5 cm wide.

My knees do not rub on it.
You also can store some stuff underneath mobile phone.
It is available on super elliot and bicycle express and it comes without any package, so you can try it before you buy it.

I noticed in David Jones they have an iphone cover/cycling apps that is waterproof. Its $90 but it uploads to Strava

Was it in the city you saw it?  Is it a cover with a mounting system, does the strava app come with it?

Topeak is the only way to go.

I must agree the topeak one looks great on line and comes with a cover.

I've got two and there solid as! Really well made.
