Hi fellow cyclists,

Found these interesting jerseys via Facebook that should pass the message along to our fellow road users who seem to be bent on running us down lately!

Good times! Even more necessary now that we have cold, dark, wet days upon us!

I'm liking the bike smiling jersey

I like, but suspect they would just egg some idiots on.

My sentiment also.

What do people like to do when you tell them not to do something....?

"Don't run me over..."

Isn't that asking for it?

+1

Give them something to look at....and they will leave you alone.....

Juz uses that approach, with her long plaited hair and pink top encouraging male drivers to actually see the female cyclist.

Ahem ahem...

Safe Cycling Australia is close to finalising an arrangement for our jersey with a new well known Aussie manufacturer of top quality cycling gear. This will mean that you can buy our hi-vis (but not dorky) stuff through their online store which will save you time and money.

Price hasn't been finalised as yet but I can pass these details on once we have this organised. The current jersey currently retails for $85.00 which leaves us just enough to cover postage Australia wide, so we don't produce them as a money making exercise.

Our 240 customers from last year unanimously agree that the SCA jersey seems to make drivers think twice and behave differently around them when they ride in one. It could be a placebo effect but we like to think otherwise.

Pictured above and below are the original SCA and the new "Warnie" versions - both with reflective piping - we started selling  last year:

That first lot look great for someone involved in the Wars of the Roads ... the next ones look better to me, I wonder if there is a non-lycra version ..?

At the risk of sounding like a S@ammer, may I advise that I self-produced designs like these ( well, not so agro..) years ago...I even sold a few @ about $5.00 ( five) each, which was cost of production ...I still have a few, and i'd be happy to clear my stock for $1.00 (one dollar  each)  to people who appreciate them, rather than give them to Animal Welfare for dog's bedding, which will happen otherwise. My stock is available to view at : http://members.iinet.net.au/~bikefish/fishshop.html
