I'm planning a 160km (100 miles) ride around the hills taking probably on January 7th after the Xmas madness and before the TDU festival hits town.
The route is something like this http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/fullscreen/57146466/ possibly with a few tweaks. Given that it's January and it could be very hot an early start of 7am from Vic square would probably be in order, pace will be around 28kph with rest stops for food/drinks at Strath and Mt Compass.
Approximately 1500m of climbing so reasonable levels of fitness, approximately 15kms on Victor Harbor Rd in school holidays so confidence with traffic a must.
Any suggestions for modifications to the route welcome, could possibly do the ride on Sunday 8th if that suits more riders but many will be back at work the next day.

Did 162kms last Sunday as part of Amy's ride. I did have to ride around the block to make it up to 100mi.

Permalink Reply by Darren on November 13, 2011 at 12:03 I might attend. Where do you think this ride sits on the hyperbole pain scale: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/02/boyfriend-doesnt-have... - if its 7 or above I think I'm out.
