Hi I'd like to get some ideas/suggestions, I will be celebrating my half century birthday (geez that sounds old) late April this year and my lovely wife has activated the iNag function on what do I want to do for it.

I'm at a loss on what to do or where to go for a meal.

Anyway, i'd like to hear some of your experiences.

cheers

Tea Tree Gully Hotel

@clive is that where you work? Discount?

No I don't work there, eaten there a few times 6 - 10 people and always had a good meal at a reasonable price. The Rising Sun Inn Kensington used to be quite nice and again a reasonable price. If you're going to have a large group (20+) you need to be really carefull, theres too many places where there will only be 2 or 3 chefs on duty and it's tough to get 20+ dishes out simutaneously with an a la'carte menu, probably better to book a private room with a limited choice menu.

Geepers Clive!

ttg hotel might just be OK for two or three people but they methodically stuff up everytime my family had a get together there. More than about 5 and they cannot get the meals out at the same time. More than 10 and there might be up to an hour between the first and the last.

We are never going there again!

Bombay Bicycle club is a perfect venue.
+1 for bombay

Have been to BBC a few times, I hear the original owners are back in it, thats when it was at its best.
