DPTI have produced a time elapse video with a map superimposed to show how fast it is to ride from Glenelg to the CBD using the Mike Turtur Bikeway. Now you can tell friends there is no excuse if you live that way.
As a bonus see if you can spot the Adelaide Cyclists member (or maybe there are more than one). (Shhhh if you are that person!)
Update: Part 2, the Linear Park from West Beach to the city.

Permalink Reply by Alasdair McLellan on April 12, 2012 at 18:22 I think it's odd because, despite this fact, people seem to be keen on using this backstreet with a zillion stops.

Permalink Reply by Just another psycho-list on April 12, 2012 at 0:29 You are right. I used to take the Anzac Hwy and it took me 38 minutes to ride from Warradale to The Advertiser where I used to work.

Permalink Reply by Edward @bikeadelaide on April 11, 2012 at 18:20 Great video. It makes Adelaide look almost impressive (except for that appalling u-turn you have to do near Stop 8).
All they need now is to join it up to some decent lanes in the CBD and they'll be nothing left for me to complain about. Heaven forbid.
It would be great to see this sort of thing going in all directions from the city.
