Before your other half starts rolling their eyes and complaining that they take up too much space in the house?

I have two roadies with no real excuse other than I'm too sentimentally attached to be without either. Deal was I had to get rid of a MTB and a 70's folder to get roadie #2 last year tho...

So I'd say that two is the limit in our house, what's yours?

1 roadie & 1 MTB that badly needs a service etc to be rideable

I'm sure its been said, but the rule is N+1.

Between two, we have 7. But one is being repaired for my Dad and two are collector's bikes.

I am feeling deprived, I only have one road bike and a pair of cheap Shinmano wheels, after an upgrade.

Don't worry Doug, same situation myself!

I don't think I could get away with more than 2 at home, at least long term.  2 at home, + wife's bike, +1 for grandson, +1 belonging to one of the kids (who have all left home).  + several more (including the Gitane) off-site.

5 bikes in our house. 2 mtb's, 2 hybrids and my newly acquired road bike.

So how is the Focus Shav? Taken it out for a spin yet?

Indeed I have. Its simply a different world that I'm used to maya. I can't compare with any other road bike but its a big step up from my hybrid. fast, smooth and very efficient. it took me a few ks to get used to the new feeling but after about 10km I was getting the hang of it. So much so that was able to keep up with my mate on his avanti quantum in certain areas. I was able to really let it rip down hill and on flats. I don't know what speed I was doing but felt at least double compared to the hybrid, very stable and not twitchy which was an initial concern. this bike will take me to the next level. I just got to figure out the best gears to use on certain terrain that works best for me. other than that I have had nothing but great comments from friends so far. sorry to go too off topic. I'm on a high right now.

sounds great.  Are you gonna post a pic?

8 bikes - 4 for kids, two cheap MTBs that are collecting dust, my old roadie and I am going to count the one that is on the way... It sure is purtty.

I didn't actually realise it was so many... will have to have a clear out.

And he complains about just one... truly unfair

One can never have too many bikes we have 10 in our stable. Then of course you require spare wheelsets etc.....

I have 2 bikes myself - one here and one waiting for my there in Adelaide. My girlfriend had the same setup.
