I have been watching the TDF some of the riders seem to have helmets without holes for ventilation in them.
The rider that broke his chain just before the finish last night for instance.
What is the supposed advantage of having a helmet without ventilation holes?

Sky's helments are standard but without the vents cut out of the outer cover and Lotto have the attachable cover installed at manafature. UCI rules do not allow covers, as it counts as a aerodynamic fairing, which can come off.
The helment you want to see is the new Giro that Rabo and Garmin have been using.

Permalink Reply by James Jordan on July 7, 2012 at 17:48 I know that feeling. Have had 'tonight is going to be a good night' going through my head and even worse I have been singing it all day.
Mind you the guys in the shop would not have described it as singing.

Go Forward... Move ahead.
Twenty years ago, helmets did not have holes. The big vents are relatively recent.
