I saw this in Peloton Magazine as the most cutting edge, and probaly the most unnecessary cyling enhancement. The 4iiii Sportiiiis heads-up display -and audio coach- for cyclist's sunglasses.

Sportiiiis is a Heads Up Display and audio system that gives you feedback on critical performance data. This enables you to maintain form, keep your eyes on the road and always be safe. Sportiiiis attaches to virtually any pair of glasses and guides you to your target workout zone with multi-colored LEDs positioned in your peripheral vision. A simple tap of the unit gives you a verbal update on your current performance. Sportiiiis is compatible with ANT+ enabled devices for easy integration with your current training tools.

While it might make you imagine Tom Cruise in Minority Report or James Bond it's a long simpler.

Basically it has coloured LED lights that indicate certain speeds or goals.

Full on !! I don't think I could handle my sunnies telling me I am as weak as piss ,, While I'm out riding ..
 Cool music .

There are some pretty neat heads up displays for ski goggles. These project a real display not just a line of LEDs

http://www.reconinstruments.com/

They use a remote on the sleeve to choose screens which isn't going to work on a bike.  Not sure how it would work while skiing either.

dang.... I thought it was going to be like minority report with a little coach in vision

but what if you only ride for fun?

i thought you added the extra iiiiis just for a laugh... seems theyre serious

When i was a child it was considered bad form to call someone with glasses 4 eyes.

Perhaps I am not in the target market :-)

"A simple tap of the unit gives you a verbal update on your current performance."

Lol - go over a pothole "you are currently 36 minutes off the average pace"

Like a BOSS

"CADANCE" ??

Why do I feel a retro grouch moment coming on?

Was that posted on April 1st? Also can you choose what voice for the verbal update, a sexy bloke or sexy chick or even the Commando?

Can't help but think the same, Vicki.  1st April and the incorrect spelling of Cadence is possibly the clue. Maybe they could also incorporate lights to indicate when you should change gears, like the Formula One drivers have on their steering wheels !

It's been around for awhile so it's not an April Fools joke.
