Bit of a chilly morning today as we all convened on Prices. Neil dropped past to say g'day, however was not to ride today due to a bout of the seasonal flu, hope you're feeling better soon. We welcomed Arthur on his first ride out with the GG's and welcomed back Scott. Arthur, Scott, and myself were joined by GG regulars Dean, Carl, Wendy, and Gary, with Michael catching us up on Bridge Rd.
It was a wee bit of a frustrating ride today with two visits from that evilest of sprites, the puncture fairy, and the constant start/stop thanks to multiple sets of traffic lights. But despite this everyone was in good spirits and had a good chat along the way. However, we've decided that this particular 'burbs burn' will be retired and the GG will move back to its 'spiritual home' amongst the hills of the greater TTG area.
Back a Prices we thawed out with some beautifully warm beverages. Kyle came to say hello on a borrowed older treaddly owing to her normal chariot being packed up ready for the move up to Darwin.
We'll be back amongst the hills with a repeat visit to Anstey's hill next week - hope to see you there!
Carl's back tyre was the first of the Evil One's victims.
A bright side though, I got to enjoy a nice view :-)

I'm happy to do that as far as Norton Summit road but I don't think any of you would have the patience to stay behind me going up the hill. I should be with guys in a fortnight.

I wasn't sure what to expect from my legs today after yesterday's ride with the Gawler Wheelers, but getting up The Grove Way to get to the start didn't prove too nasty, so was ready to hit the road again (sucker for punishment). Trundling along quite happily when the dreaded PF struck.............stopped to fix flat rear which allowed Michael to catch us up and join the group. Needed a second stop to re-seat the tyre (picture) because I hadn't done it properly the first time (what a wally!). Thereafter my ride was fairly uneventful - just couldn't seem to get a rhythm going today with catching numerous traffic lights on red. The legs seemed to cope quite well with the hills on the return to Prices Bakery where the usual tasty treats went to work................Perhaps the best bit of the day was the second time down The Grove Way in one morning - meant that a hot shower wasn't far away............
Thanks for another fun morning, everyone. Will be back in a couple of weeks - GS3 next Sunday. Stay safe!
