Funny Dutch song about Guus :-)

I think I say thanks?! I wonder what he's singing about...

The song is a story about a farmer called Gus (Guus, pronounced kind of like "hoos" but with a  gutteral sound on the G)

Gus crashes his tractor into the barn one day and writes off his tractor.  So he goes to the city, Rotterdam, on the bus and happens to meet up with some wild "ladies of the night".   Instead of a new tractor he buys a fast American car.  He spends a lot of time and money  with these ladies and is worried that he will go to hell for it. The people in the village gossip about him.  He is not seeing that his farm is neglected and things are dying.  That's the gist of it, but it's written in a comical way.  It is also in a dialect which makes it hard to translate accurately or easily.

The chorus is :

Guus come to home because the cows need milking
The pigs need feeding and the hay needs harvesting
Guus come to home because things go badly wrong
Surely it can not continue Guus what is going on?

This is the translation of the song Gus.

Guus come to home because the cows need milking
The pigs need feeding and the hay needs to be harvested
Guus come to home because that 'cheer weird ding'n
Surely it can not continue Guus what is going on

Guus Uten It is worth a week or so geled'n
When 'he came back with the tractor after harvesting the hay
With 's pretty good speed at the cowshed gered'n
See tractor wreck head and see in 't related
Well can not a farmer without a tractor so my new moss' r bowls
The shoebox was reversed 't counted capital
And on Saturday the Guus Bus to Rotterdam genommen
And see inside Guus had a stout peasant tit with money

Guus Uten Waard had never 'n go city
He knows only the village, the land, the old farm
Hejt see it used zejt that's where the wild life bitches
For 'n stuuver mit go up for the courtship
There krieg your big puusten because of all these broads uut the cities
Living there in sin and who never go to church
Only for large parties, orgies and excesses did
Yes the devil in the cities where a lot of overtime

Guus come to home because the cows need milking
The pigs need feeding and the hay needs need to harvested
Guus come to home because that 'cheer weird ding'n
Surely it can not continue Guus what is going on

Guus Uten Waard went there constantly to denk'n
Then somewhere in the city to a robust 'm said
"Hey you go along 'k knows what she' s nice tot schenk'n
There are ways enkelt people like you
Constance House gives you a chance to get good estimates along to bov'n "
And Guus thought as pastor knew this then I'll go to hell
Those bare buttocks, bare Weird Sisters, Guus who could not bring gelov'n
This had 'n Uten Waard never ervaard but Guus had it now

Guus come to home because the cows need milking
The pigs need feeding and the hay needs need to be harvested
Guus come to huus because that 'cheer weird ding'n
Surely it can not continue Guus what is going on

Guus Uten Worth got the taste is good pakk'n
He bought no big tractor but "fast n American
There tear 'ie to Rotterdam to take a lot there by zakk'n
With only the wild chicks but lets see cows' ie are
'T Whole village speaks disgrace Uten Waard and see manier'n
And priest says "Well that Uten Waard, who komp stuck in hell"
But Guus forgot to see farm land and already see dier'n
And spent quite shoebox to see 't wild chicks game

Guus come to home because the cows need milking
The pigs need feeding and the hay needs need to be harvested
Guus come to huus because that 'cheer weird ding'n
Surely it can not continue Guus what is going on

Guus come to home because the cows need milking
The varkes need feeding and the hay needs to be harvested
Guus come to home because that 'cheer weird ding'n
Surely it can not continue Guus what is going on

Thanks! How did they get the story of my life?
