Anyone know a good bike mechanic that will do good work?

Need some work done after the chain was thrown into the crank yesterday & managed to wrap itself around the crank & jam. Lucky for me I was riding the trainer & not out on the road.

Any bike that gets used will have 'chain suck' marks. Bikes are designed to be thrashed bro. ;)

chain is back on.I think the gear cable for the front must have worked loose or something

Nah, it can  happen randomly or could be out of adjustment. Dropping a chain is pretty common really.

Its happend to me so much over the years I can get it back on usually with out touching the chain. Just roll down an incline and put it in the 12 or 23 and soft pedal back/forward whilst shifting the Front D.

got the chain back on, perhaps its time for new chain & cluster

good to hear ;-)

have a tiagra or Ultrgra cassette I can use, just got to find a good chain.Un sure if I should replace chainrings

One can buy gadget to stop a chain from slipping off. Gadget name varies by manufacturer. Discussed on AC at http://www.adelaidecyclists.com/forum/topics/preventing-chain-drop-...
