Cold wintery conditions meant everyone enjoyed that extra hours sleep after the early start last Sunday. Great to have a new rider join us ,  Gavin decided to come out and see what our Sunday group rides are all about . Being new to Adelaide hopefully we enabled him to see parts of Adelaide he hasnt ridden before . We look forward to seeing him again , great to see Brad out again although it may be a while before we see him again after an huge issue with his rear wheel not far up the climb on Gorge rd . In all my years of riding i have never seen a spoke pop clear out of a carbon rim , 80mm rim at that causing the spoke hole to form a huge bubble . Iam sure Brad spent the rest of the day hunting down his warrenty !

Leaving him on side of the road waiting for the team car (Lisa ) to pick him up we continued up Gorge rd heading to Cudlee creek . With some  good efforts by Gavin (first time riding hills ) and Paul (carb loading on amber liquid the night before ) the group made it to Cudlee for a well earned drink stop and regroup .

Then for the best part the down hill where despite periods of light drizzle we managed  to dodge the rain bullet and make it back to Milanos .
