Garmin Edge 500 custom bar mount

Hi guys,

 

I'm after one of these or similar.  K-Edge Garmin Edge 500 custom bar mount. anyone know where I can get one??

K-Edge's new Garmin Edge mount is adjustable in length

I bought one of these from Trak Cycles yesterday.  It looks great and works well.  

I may also get a k-edge for another bike, but I think I prefer the simplicity of the Barfly.

Agreed I got a Barfly from Trak as well. Much better than looking straight down.

Rob, I imagine even flat top bars should be round in profile just after the stem, at least enough to fit 5mm or so of the K edge clamp?

Add my 2c worth: got my Bar fly this week, so my ride through the hills today was its first test. It was great, Held the Garmin securely, even when I was setting laps. Way better position than on te stem but we all know that. Lovin' it.

I have one of these k-edge holders and a word of warning, I knocked my edge 500 while it was in the holder on the weekend and it sheared off the small plastics edges on the back that hold it in place.

Gene, I may be able to help. I repaired my Garmin mount lugs with a CNC'd mount that glues onto the back of a Garmin. Nothing like it as I designed it and made it. My mobile is 0407606130.

if u like the Barfly, then have a look at racewaredirects mounts... similar, but stiffer design, and come in variable lengths.  ive bought a few and they perform very well, with absolutely no vibration when on bumpy roads (unlike the barfly i started with)
