I have brought two of these inner tubes, while I have to pump them up every morning before I ride the most crappy thing about them the valve stem has come apart about 10mm up from the innertube itself! Anybody had this trouble?

it seams to pull apart I will be getting the old style one again.... at least I'm not the only one thanks RD6
Permalink Reply by RD6 on January 11, 2012 at 11:47 It needs to be reinforced with extra layer around the base of the valve, I think its a weak point as it does split, shame really as I start to like em despite having to pump em every time as I have noticed when fully inflated at max 120 PSI ( depends on tyre PSI settings ) the tube seem to leak slowly down to 60-80 PSI the next day
For money's worth- I don't think they are worth $20, I would be happy to bulk buy normal 700x23 tubes i.e. 6 tubes for $26
Yeah just going down to the local bike shop to buy some, gettin ready for the Bupa Challenge. Gonna pick up my kit on Sunday cant wait to see all the bikes and riders

Yes, have sometimes seen that on rubber inners, ie the rubber of the inner, separating, from the brass of the valve. Only occasionally; and only on years old tubes. I don't know any way to fix it.
Permalink Reply by Con Nakos on January 11, 2012 at 12:49 Had the same problem as RD6. I paid $16 but this is too much when they have a design fault. One think in their favor is they won't burst and wil leak slowly. Had a thorn in one and was able to ride quite a few Kms.

Also - leaked as RD6 has mentioned - put the 9 month old rubber tube back in - happy again, cant really see me ever using them again.
