Came across an interesting one this morning - was cruising some segments and found Floyd Landis appearing in a few around Adelaide over the last couple of months - not sure if it is a fake account, as his bio says "My highlights were going Pro and taking out the Tour De France ...and also hanging out with Lance and screwing hot chics...."
But - there are some big rides he has done around Adelaide - and if you go back in history - some even bigger rides in Canada - so it might be legit - can anyone confirm this to be true?
Matt - Phil has noticed it to and also there is a segment where he and Mike Stallard? have exactly the same time power stats etc..
Check this segment out for example:
Same date/time, same speed, same HR, same time. Is Michael Stallard Floyd Landis?
He's popped up on this one as KOM:
I'm not sure whether Strava user account is real or not, I suspect not - someone having a laugh.
I hope it is legit - and we can get him on a Muddies ride - from all reports - he is a genuine guy with a great sense of humour :-)
i did see this and figured it was a joke. think the probability of it being him is slim to none.
I suspect it might be a hacked account - if you look at some of the earlier rides in Canada they seem legit
If you look closely too, it appears he is living somewhere in Christie's Beach
Another one where he has the same times/HRs power as Michael Stallard:
Something definitely fishy going on here.
I don't think Floyd would be too happy about the average speeds and HRM stats he's been doing lately either, seems a little slow for a man of his capabilities
Ah yes good ole Mike copped a Ban from competitive cycling, Michael Stallard. Cycling. Presence and use. D-Amphetamine. Two-year sanction 13 September 2010 - 12 September 2012
What started out as a totally April 1 topic, has now got me intrigued. Who is this mysterious Mike Stallard? Why do several people appear to actually believe that Floyd has been riding around Adelaide? Why might Mr Stallard be posing as Mr Landis? Is anyone else surprised that you can actually get pinged for doping at local races (yes I know that all Cycling Australia racers must abide by the UCI code but I never thought they'd actually test anyone).
