Extremely happy to see a police officer with a radar gun booking speeding sports cars ascending Eagle on the hill on Sunday Morning, climbing to the Bollards is a great ride but its scary when the only thing between you and racing Posches / speeding P platers / and MotorGP riders is that thin concrete divider.

Permalink Reply by Dstone on May 7, 2012 at 15:19 So happy to see this! Have seen convoys of porsches going very fast up greenhill rd sunday mornings. Some even using the correct side of the road. The bollwell and westerfiled kit car sort of things have been hamering corkscrew and lobethal roads as well.

Permalink Reply by Michael Bland on May 7, 2012 at 19:17 What's the speed limit there ?
Permalink Reply by Martin Turner on May 7, 2012 at 21:29 For most motored vehicle users that use the road the speed limit is the speed you can do without totally losing traction on the bends
Permalink Reply by David Bowler on May 7, 2012 at 23:02 Guilty as charged your Honour. Downhill on a bicycle that is.

Permalink Reply by Martin Turner on May 8, 2012 at 9:37 No it's 60.....quite clearly stated on the speed signs. There those funny round things on the end of poles on the side of the road.
Permalink Reply by Matt Jones on May 8, 2012 at 9:57 It used to be 80, when it was a busy road with a crap load of traffic and trucks. Now its a quiet road apparently its only safe for 60.....
Permalink Reply by MarkK on May 8, 2012 at 10:35 I had to shake my head in disbelief on the decent, as i just came out of the Eagle Park MTB corner a black sports car was coming up the track (above 60km/h) so i made the "Slow Down" sign with my hand; (despite hating speeding cars i dont want to see someone hit with a massive fine). As he passed me the driver gave me a dirty look and then accelerated harder, straight into the radar's line of fire.
