Ah so my latest pair - 2XU - are now pretty holey and coming apart at the seams after 6 months of normal use... Kinda thought for the price they should've lasted longer imho:-(
Hence I'm after some ideas for the next pair. Any brands you either love, or would totally steer clear of?
Open to spending $$ as long as the comfort and durability is justified... female input scores double points:-)

Permalink Reply by Shav Bird on July 31, 2012 at 19:07 +1 on DHB long and short bib knicks. I was at first going to buy these as an in between knick before I went all out for some Assos/Santini gear but for the money and how well they are holding I am very impressed and see no reason to upgrade to the more expensive knicks at this point in time. Excellent fit, value and durability.
I have had Netti before and found them to be very ordinary compared to DHB.
You can get DHB stuff from Wiggle.com. I love the stuff they have.
Another good brand is Sportful. Pretty good mid range quality and price.
I also spent up on a pair of Skins cycling long bibs and found them to be excellent in compression and chamois. I paid $150 new on a deal from cycling sports website.

2XU Comp - OK, not overly enthused about the chamois though
DHB Roubaix - Good value for money
Castelli Sorpasso Longs - Great , really good chamois.
Permalink Reply by Matt Brennan on July 31, 2012 at 17:09 Wasnt really happy with the 2XU. Not overly comfy and logos fell off first wash.
Apparently that was the 'cheap' type they make....although I dont think it was overly cheap for what it was
Cinettica - there is a guy on **bay that always has them cheap - great finish and material - very comfy
Nalini - few different types I got from the US - all have been fantastic - nice material and super comfy
Permalink Reply by RD6 on July 31, 2012 at 20:01 I can recommend Santini / Nalini / champion systems
Permalink Reply by Lawrie Nicholas on July 31, 2012 at 20:13 Torpedo 7 have " Campag. Racing Bibs " for $69.95. Another site have them at $149.98. (Cell) Being Campag I can' see them being bad. I have ordered a pair so hopefully they are good. I currently wear Colnago & the pad is exceptional but don't know about wear cos I haven't had them long enough to say.

Permalink Reply by Lawrie Nicholas on August 1, 2012 at 1:39 Not sure wot the pad is like. It looks very similar to the Colnagos that I am wearing which is very comfortable & I am hoping that it is cos I have trouble with Coolmax pads.
