Got the monthly email from a bike shop on Waymouth St in the city this morning - amongst the read was a bargain - $10 cycling shirts. With work just around the corner and yours truly starting at noon I dropped in to grab one. Checking out the labels later that arvo and I (and the rest of the office) had a good chuckle, took me back to my days in Japan with unusual English tags...

high-performance bib short. The AirZone chamois uses a four-way stretch design that maximizes fit while contouring to your body. The ten-panel construction, ergo fit and flatlock seams wrap your legs like white on rice, and the front reflector and reflective logos keep cars from running you over—well, we can’t promise that, but at least they’ll see you first.

Permalink Reply by rossmg on January 12, 2012 at 20:40 Hmm, looks more and more like "Made in China" .. I was kind of wondering as to the German section. Guess I should type it into a translation engine, see what pops out. Still, reminds me of when I was working in Japan - one day a girl from the company next to us popped in asking as to some English text. I replied okay but rather odd - she beamed and said thanks, that's what we were after... !
