I stopped today at the bus shelter at the top of Greenhill Road and Mount Lofty Summit Road and was shocked at the disgusting amount of gel and energy bar wrappers jammed into the seat and shed. Surely it is not that much of an inconvenience to dispose of rubbish correctly. If I had to use that bus shelter and sit in that filth it would be easy to label all cyclists in a negative way.

Bring a wrapper or two, we'll get the 4th year biotechnology students, to DNA fingerprint it.
The students can also take DNA evidence, from bicycles outside coffee shops, in Unley and North Adelaide, on Sunday mornings.
I am confident of finding matches.
The cyclists who cause trouble, clearly like a good work out. Sweat dripping everywhere, their DNA will be all over the bike.
My plan is to then shame the litter bugs, by publishing photos of their bikes, on this site.
(only joking.... joke!!! .....but seriously, please take litter home with you)

Permalink Reply by Konadog on October 13, 2012 at 1:26 People, including heaps of cyclists, are slobs, and the plastic factories are making more of the stuff everyday. We're all gonna be swimming in it eventually. We do a 4 - 5 km walk every morning and half the time I take a bucket and a garbage picker to tidy up en route. It doesn't help much though as the next day there are plenty of new deposits. Oh well....

If you see much rubbish (e.g. TV, furniture) you can report to the local council.
