Cyclin in Adelaide

So,,,,Where am I to cycle???
I know this sign is more posted towards Motorist but I dont cycle to/from work at the times on the sign,,,
Ahhh.,,where do I cycle?,,Of course Not in/on the bike lane bec its much smoother on the road,,,
Hahaha

Not all times is fine in the bike lane unless I want to smash into rear of parked cars or go home with a tires full of broken glasses

Hmmm....  where are we cyclists supposed to ride?

  • Car drivers don't want us on the roads.
  • Bus and truck drivers don't want us on the roads.
  • Pedestrians don't want us on the footpaths.
  • Nobody wants us on the "shared" paths.
  • The government doesn't want us  (as per signs above) , also they "shelve" plans for bike lanes.
  • The councils want us to die - that's why they make the bike lanes disappear into dangerous intersections and other hazards.

Oh, of course :-  

we can ride on dedicated bike paths, away from traffic and peds and dogs, with safe road crossings..  How many of these are in and around Adelaide?

I must be dreaming...

I have seen some bad things on the road, but its been smooth sailing for a while now for me,
U gotta crank it up to suprise the motorist, LOL

I put this discussion up bec I thought that the bike lane signs wasnt making much sense at all.
