I'm looking at do a mixed road dirt road loop through Belair, Ironbank Scott Creek etc and need directions. Does anyone know if Olave Road when it turns to dirt is open all the way through to Turners Avenue? and is Suffolk Road back up to Upper Sturt Rd open?

Couldn't answer your question myself (sorry, Gus) - but wiser heads have.  I frequently go into the Mark Oliphant CP and Scott Ck CP area - a mixture of unsealed and low-traffic sealed.  I go through Belair NP, going up Cherry Plantation Rd.  A tiny bit of Upper Sturt, then down Elmstead and Wychwood to Sturt Valley Rd, then right into Ironbank Rd.  Left into the unsealed (and sign post missing) Evans Drive at the top of the hill.  Right onto Scott Ck Rd for a lovely downhill.

Brown Rd, Porteus and Lamont Rds, Cemetery and Nicholls Rds make for a good mix of unsealed road riding (some climbs/descents).  Can also take Firth/Formby from Dorset Vale Rd to Potter Rd above Clarendon.   Good area for a H'eroica Gus - even a winery possibility (will check that out one of these days).

like the idea of linking firth formby dorset up. Very tight leave pass so that will have to wait.
