Hi All.

As part of the upcoming TDU the Messenger Newspaper are running a story on "The Typical Adelaide Rider" and as part of the story they would love to have some footage of the Corkskrew Rd Climb.

The Messenger newspaper have asked me to don a Go Pro camera and climb Corkskrew Rd either today or at the latest Mon morn, but Unfortunately due to work constraints I cannot do so !

So I think the next best option is if one of the Adelade Cyclist Forum members step up and be imortalised .

Said rider must contact me ASAP as the Editor of the messenger paper requires the task to be performed NOW !!   LOL

Another possibility is if one oy you already have Go pro footage ofthe Corksrew Climb already recorded it could be utilised in the Messenger Story !

If you are interested please ph me ASAP !

Make sure you get the correct mounts, the standard bicycle mount won't fit a lot of over sized tubes on plastic bikes - you'll need the roll-bar mount instead.

Just looking at that hairpin curve in this youtube thumbnail gets my HR up. ;) Its an awesome Radelaide climb for sure. Ive riden it in the rain, under full moon at 2am and even once after 340k on new years day 2009.

Whoever does it, I hope Gus gets them an Adelaide Cyclists Jersey to wear!

I'd do it, but the video would take too long, LOL.

Hi Guys.

Thankyou an Adelaide Cyclists member has put his hand up and will be ["tortured"] Errr..!.. I mean filmed riding up Corkskrew Rd tomorrow Morning !

Ps: Am am sure he will be wearing his AC jersey !

Cheers  !

Cool, make sure you post a copy of the video here!

Ideally a group of riders in AC kit ride it together. :-) POV camera without anyone else in shot is not so helpful.

Good luck to the lucky AC member

RD6 - You aren't on this strava segment ???? what tha?

Yeah, that's one segment that's been eluding me until I get that 11-28 cassette :)

you'd piss it in Rob seriously.  I only did it for the first time about 4 weeks ago on 39/25 and that was with 90km under my belt... you're a stronger rider than me so you'd have no issues.  ;)  The good thing, is that the hardest bit is at the start then it eases off a bit.

I don't mean to brag but I managed the corkscrew on my fixie, albeit I did hop off twice for just a second or two.
