I am working with a well known charity to organise a ride starting and finishing in Brighton FEB 2013. There will probably be 2 ride distances 30km and 100km approx. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to ride? I was thinking Brighton to Hallet Cove return?

Spartie I think you will need to go a bit further than Hallet Cove for the 100km won't you. Unless you have some particular circuitous indirect route in mind?

Permalink Reply by trappy on May 25, 2012 at 16:28 it's about 75kms from outer harbour to Hallet Cove (up and back)

Permalink Reply by Patrick O'Kane on May 25, 2012 at 18:50 Brighton, Cement Hill, Aldinga, Willunga Hill, Wickhams, Clarendon, Chandlers Hill would be pretty close to 100kms, stretch it out via Blewiitt Springs to make the distance and enough challenges to make it a worthwhile route.
Not much info to go on here so I've no idea how much know-how is involved behind the scenes. If you haven't already done so then I'd suggest you consider logistical factors such as rider numbers, traffic conditions coinciding with the ride time, types of riders likely to attend, supervision of possibly inexperienced group riders on 30km ride (+/- kids), provision of support if contemplating a 100km ride, need for traffic control etc, etc......... Those factors will inevitably determine suitable routes.
Also keep in mind "donator burnout" after Amy's, RLC, Diabetes, TDU charity riders and the multitude of other "charity" rides that time of year.
