Sunrise are about to run a story on Car vs Bicycles and preveiw comment was "should cyclists be given more rights on the road?"
Should be interesting, both the story and the online commetns that will follow on their website.

Not surprising I guess.
What about, "Do you know the rights and responsibilities of all road users?"..................yes, sounds too boring.
Permalink Reply by Just another psycho-list on December 2, 2011 at 9:48 Yes, typical. Another forum for motorists to vindicate their prejudiced and self righteous views and to drum up some more communal hatred towards cyclists...
Permalink Reply by rossmg on December 1, 2011 at 13:37 The SoapBox title is:
Should motorists and cyclists be kept one metre apart?
and "Do you think the law is necessary?" - they are trying to debate if the 1 metre matters should be law or not.

I don't have a yahoo account so no comments for me :-/

Haven't watched Sunrise for ages (the kids put cartoons on) but Mark Beretta rides a bike doesn't he?

They had a commuter challenge on channel 7 not long ago. It was a very biased challenge being that it was well before peak hour (7am or so) and it was 20 or so kilometres, The car one it, but double parked in martin place (like parking in rundle mall). The bike wasn't far behind but didn't get any credit other than public transporters saying "oh my god, i got beaten by a bicycle).
Then there was another segment where Jason morrison (alan jones's 2gb buddy) and a daily telegraph (murdoch) rep were doing the "We pay rego to drive machines, cyclists don't, get off the road."
In my mind that justifies a boycott.
(just make sure you turn channel 9 off before kerri anne starts)
Permalink Reply by Richard Lam on December 3, 2011 at 20:03 BUT sunrise also clearly stated that the bike would have won if they had to find a legal parking space.
Chris said what a load of bollocks! Thank god he's not home to watch daytime tellie.

Thankfully she's been sacked!
With Channel 9 now televising the TDU Kerri-Anne and this crap interview would be an embarrassment.
