Ride-a-Bike Right is seeking casual contractors to deliver cycling instruction in various sites across Adelaide and SA: in school, within communities as well as private clients. As all cycling programs provided by Ride-a-Bike Right are delivered under the AustCycle auspice, instructors are required to be qualified either as an assistant coach or as a full AustCycle teacher, both of which are affiliated with Cycling Australia which is where the insurance comes from.
AustCycle is conducting 2day Teacher Training on the 18th/19th August, with opportunities for the course to be fully funded through a return of cycling training.
I look forward to hearing from you with regards to becoming a cycling coach; the need for more coaches is evident with the number of council and school programs being booked within the state.
Please contact me at info@rideabikeright.com.au or call me on 0431 120 802 and I can send you the full information regarding becoming a qualified cycling teacher.

Looks far too hard for me.
Permalink Reply by Michelle Crick on July 13, 2012 at 22:05 I love it getting paid to be out in the fresh air, anyone looking for casual work should look into it :-)
Permalink Reply by Don (Who's lost?) Nairn on July 14, 2012 at 3:18 But if you have regular bills such as food an electricity you need regular work.
How much work and how regular it is would be would depend on a lot of things.
Looking into it you need a first aid certificate, a police check and to be an accredited coach.
It seems likely to be more than a modest fee and a few hours.
Permalink Reply by heather on July 14, 2012 at 9:29 When I did voluntary work for Neighbourhood Watch had a police check for free. Out of date now and believe a charge. My first aid certificate is out of date but knowledge worthwhile.
+ 1 All worthwhile things you can use again and again, and only small costs.
Permalink Reply by Don (Who's lost?) Nairn on July 15, 2012 at 13:25 So if i get a police check today I can get caught for being naughty tomorrow and it will still be OK?
Permalink Reply by heather on July 14, 2012 at 21:43 One of the options is the Beginning Coaching General Principles course that is free online at https://learning.ausport.gov.au
I recommend another free online course that is not a requirement but useful knowledge in organisations. Register first at http://playbytherules.net.au to get a printed certificate at the end. Learning + testing takes about 10 hours.
