Are there any bunchs that start in or near the city during the week.
I am coming down from Canberra from the 3rd to the 7th July for work and hoping to get a hit out while I am down.

(Note that recently the "Fast" group has been leaving around 6:20pm and the "Medium" group at 6:15, I think.)
For this ride, bring good lights and your fast legs. The faster guys are very strong. Please note that there are numerous tight roundabouts down along the coast, and you do need a bit of bottle to hang on.

Tues morning around 7am a group leaves from the corner of North Terrace and King William in the City. I think they head to outer harbour and back.
If you feel like getting up REALLY early then you could also join the Tues morning ride to Mt Lofty - see here, or the Friday morning ride to Forest Range - see here. You'd need to leave the city around 520-530am to get to the start of either of these rides.
There is a Thursday monring ride that leaves at 6am (I think) from the ETSA building on Anzac Hwy (crn Anzac Hwy and Greenhill Rd). They head down towards Hallet Cove and back to Glenelg, but the pace is very very fast. Its pretty much a full on A-grade race from the start. I've never managed to stay with the bunch for much more than the end of Morphett Rd so am not sure how far done towards Hallet Cove they actually go!
Bec runs a Thursday night ride starting from Glenelg and running to Outer Harbour - see here. Should only take you 30 min to ride from the City to Glenelg along Anzac Hwy.
Rob Rau should be able to tell you about a ride that leaves from one of the squares on the eastern side of the city on Tuesday nights - 6 pm I think, They generally head up into the hills I think.
Megabike on King William Rd in Hyde Park also run a Sat morning ride along the beaches. They leave at 730am and there are a number of different speed groups - unlimited, 45, 40, 35, 30 (km/h). See here for details.
Happy riding!

I use to live in Adelaide (parents still do) so I know the climb reasonably well.
Just to clarify the meeting place. That’s the big tree near the cnr with the service station on the other side of the road?

I have been checking the weather for the week and was just checking on your 'rain' policy for the ride.
