On the way back from the winter ride I took a detour and went past the airport.

( the lengths some people will go to to avoid the shame of being last)

It seems there is a bike path that goes from  near Ikea to Tapleys Hill Road.

There is a nice new bridge near Tapleys Hill Road intersection.

it also appears that many of the bridges across the drains in the area have been upgraded.

It appears our tax dollars have been at work providing some facilitys that are not primarily made for cars.

Ideally should these bollards have some reflective markings on them to make them more visible at night?

What is the best way to make this happen?

In the meantime if you are using pedestrian /cycling bridges at night beware of bollards.

That's how easy it is.

Good work

Nice work : )

It seems that once aware of the issue they have acted in a timely manor.

Perhaps there has been a change of policy (or staff).

Anyway it is nice to have a win for a change.

I will have to re-visit the spot the next day that is nice for a ride.

Not so timely. In Aug-2011 I reported two lots of new grey bollards on the Westside Bikeway near South Road and Fleet Street. Did not cycle there again until Jun-2012 when I reported again. This time instead of just explaining the cycling hazard to non-cyclists, I quoted Austroads, and sent to West Torrens Council and DPTI. Also referenced this AC discussion where other bollards in West Torrens Council area. Had years of practice in reporting hazards to learn best methods, although does not work with all authorities.

Please let me know when improvements, but also if you see other cycling hazards.

Gee, I knew there was a good reason to cycle on the road, with the other vehicles...

I visited the site of the second photo at the southern end of Carnarvon avenue this morning.

There are no changes to the bollards.

Might be too soon. "Over the next month" from 27-June. Keep us updated.
