I went to the Bicycle Institute's AGM on May 29 to listen to Tim Horton's presentation which was both interesting and inspiring.
I decided I'd join BISA and completed the online membership application, paid my $50 by direct deposit and then mailed a copy of both the completed membership application and deposit receipt to their mailing address.
I was expecting to hear back from them with some sort of acknowledgement of my payment but no response at all. I also sent a request for confirmation from the Contact Us page on their website.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Is this usual or are there some problems with the membership section at the moment?

But if they took the money out of your account - that makes you a member!
Stephen, I'm Stephen Janes the BISA Treasurer, your membership has been received and you will be getting your magazine and membership card upon the next issue of Australian Cyclist. Thanks for joining BISA and I'm glad that you were inspired by
Tim Horton, we were all excited by his vision.
