I'm looking to change my seat on my Avanti road bike as I keep getting saddle sore too easily.

What do people recommend as the most comfortable seat?

I use a Prologo Scratch Ti which isn't bad, up to around 50k, so long as it's horizontal. I have a Selle Italia SLR Flow on order, want to see how that goes.

Good luck - saddles are, obviously a very personal thing.

Mark try avanti on Port rd and have a look at the throne awesome its a cracker haha cheap too
Can't go past a sprung Brooks for comfort
My new bike seat has arrived hopefully I won't be a dinosaur anymore (Megasaurarse)!

First ride with my new saddle last night, it was great no sore arse and I still wore jocks!

Gee thanks Mark trying very hard not have any images imbedded in my head regarding this! Glad your arse is ok wasnt sleeping well at night due to this!
Hope you don't dream about my arse! LOL

Mark, this is what I recommend as the most comfortable seat: http://www.hpvelotechnik.com/produkte/ghp/bodylinksitz_e.html

It works for me. :-)

I love my Serfas gel split saddle which after 10 or 11 years is showing signs of wear. The vinyl surface is flaking off and in two small places the stuffing is showing. So yesterday I went to the bike shop. In stock were some cheap split saddles, but not as aesthetic as my Serfas. So I settled for a $13.50 waterproof cover (also not as pretty as my Serfas) that will keep moisture (rain and sweat) out of the stuffing.

Noticed "Bec's" pink Giro helmet, which I could resist once I saw the price tag.
