Bicycle Response Unit

Saw a Van / Ambulance go pass today with Bicycle Response Unit  signage on the body work. Always knew of the Police force using bikes but now Ambo's.  Another great use of bicycles in the community.

Found info in Adelaide here but looks like Victoria have been using them for a while, here

Two SAAS bicycle ambulances arrived within a minute after I called 000 for an ambulance for a woman collapsed on North Terrace during the Fringe. They had oxygen, which they gave to the woman. A normal ambulance appeared later to take her to hospital.
