Who would like to see the award winning film Bicycle Dreams in Adelaide? It's the documentary about the Race Across America - and epic ultra-marathon cycling race that as a coincidence has just got underway for 2012 as tweeted by Cav:
MASSIVE good luck wishes to the @BB_RAAM2012 guys in #RaceAcrossAmerica!!! 2 words: Truly. Inspirational.
The films producers have approached me to see if I'd help organise for its screening at The Pallace East End of Mercury cinemas probably in August with normal film prices of around $20 or so. Depending on how organised I can be we might have guest speaker introduce the film.
Also there was a relative of an Adelaide man posting her a couple of weeks ago letting us know he was doing it. This year there are three Australians riding. So it attracts participants from around the world.
Check out the trailer and see what you think. It'd be a good social night.

Permalink Reply by Richard on July 1, 2012 at 22:19 I'm certainly interested. It's an awesomely insane endeavour and if I can get there on the night, I'll be there. Maybe some inside, secure parking for bikes, just to add to the atmosphere?

I'm keen, just let me know of the date and time.
Cheers/Hocks

Permalink Reply by Katie Hannan on July 17, 2012 at 11:56 As long as it's not the same night as the extreme south talk that's being put on by paddy palin, then it's all good :) (http://www.paddypallin.com.au/casandjonesy)
Permalink Reply by Gus K on July 17, 2012 at 11:58 Thanks. I dropped the ball on this but contacted the producer this morning and he is now looking at late September.
Permalink Reply by Shav Bird on July 17, 2012 at 11:59 At least that given us all plenty of time to book it in.
