Just for the serenity/atmopsphere/vibe I like the Gorge Road at and just below the dam down to the bridge early in the morning. For a short stretch there you could be anywhere in Europe on a Grand Tour.

I like riding up Gorge Rd but find it uncomfortably bumpy coming down. I think the downhill to Palmer is much nicer than the downhill to Sedan. Down the old freeway is great, usually lots of room and little or no traffic.

@DStone...re Manoah Drive......Yes, know this driveway really well, and the previous owners and the guy that now owns Manoah....its a great property with fabulous views :) The previous owners restored the burnt out house from predominantly recycled materials and established a christian community which helped out many people reestablish their life.

Cool bit of background. Is it really considered a driveway? I just think of it as a "short cut" to Upper Sturt Rd.

I know Manoah Drive well.  I rode it many Saturdays from 1977 on, with a heavy tool bag strapped to the carrier of my bike, to and from doing almost all of the electrical work (in a voluntary capacity) for the rebuilt buildings of the Manoah Christian Community.

The road is easier to ride now that the part from Manoah's gate up has been sealed.

It used to be a reserve, with a designated walking path, and a "right-of-way" for Manoah, but it was declared a road to allow sale of some of the reserve when the Stirling Council was raising money to cover the (government imposed) Ash Wednesday I settlement.

I've ridden by Manoah Drive often enough going down or up Sturt Valley Rd.  I'll take a detour next time.

Best piece of road! The last turn you take into your home street after a long rewarding ride!!!

Yah, and for me it's a good fast downhill too!

That's for sure jilden, I usually drive straight past ur driveway too!

I chest beat the fact Ive never had a drivers license at age 35 but the reality is Ive never even come close to riding all the climbs Radelaide has to offer in 17 years of riding there. No where else in the world have I come across such variety. Not to mention the trail climbs..
