Permalink Reply by Ethan Bovingdon on January 4, 2012 at 12:11 I live in Williamstown, Barossa Valley so anywhere loop from here to Tanunda or Nurioopta and Angaston does it for me. I think once you leave the suburbs its always nice countryside to ride in. Nice flats, big hills and not a lot of traffic.
I agree. Country is good. As long as there are no trucks!
My favourite is night riding between Kapunda, Marrabel and Eudunda. Especially the road between Marrabel and Eudunda. Hardly any traffic at night ( 7.00pm onwards - usually just one car for the 25km ) The bike owns the road! No need to hug the edge. Lovely cool fresh air and sweet smells from the paddocks.
But does get a bit busier between Eudunda and Kapunda.
Also Springton to Williamstown. Mostly downhill and great scenery.
The smooth bit at the bottom of Montecue Rd, soooooo smooooooooth, no pedalling required

Only if you're going downhill ~ LOL
Aldgate Valley Rd, Aldgate to Mylor (or vice versa)...nice piece of road and nice scenery.
The descent from Lobethal down to Cudlee Creek is a nice run as well...nice coffee shop at the bottom.
