Best Bike Shop/s in ADL to buy kiddie carrier
For a friend of mine who is not on this site, which shops in Adelaide have the best range of kiddie carriers for the back of your bike? His baby is only about 6-8 months old but he is pretty keen to drag her around :)

I have a kiddy trailer that I bought from Target for under a $100 it lasted 12mths and the two kiddies loved it they stay warm are out of the sun and can eat and play with there toys. I have now mounted seats on the back of two of our bikes they are great I got them from Standish Cycles West Lakes for $139 each. IMO I wouldn't put them in a seat at 6mths a little too young.

I rate my balancing skills as fair to average & so have felt much more stable towing a trailer than a extra childs bike seat.
I know its nice to support the LBS which i generally do but when we saw one on eBay for$150 we purchased it. i just did a search on ebay

This is same as we bought 2 years ago & now is $129. It followed the bike nicely down hill at 45kph. Our son weighs 16kg.
We have been very happy with it, its done about 700ks. The tyres were poor quality but once replaced no further problems. Amazing how much storage space is available, brought 15 pot plants home in it on the weekend.
If you have more than one bike I suggest another skewer or spindle thingy so there is one on both bikes.

We brought a philips kiddie carrier trailer for our daughter when she was 8mth old, we had to put foam in the smallest helmet to make it a snug fit,she loved the trailer from the start but the biggest problem was keeping the helmet on,so we started with only small rides.She has just turned 2yrs old and now sits in it for hours and loves it.

Where the feet go we padded with layers of foam so as she grew we could take a layer out one at a time,to encourage her to use the trailer at the start we sat her on the side with her beloved pooh bear but she now sits in the middle and takes allsorts and says go go go.The carrier came from JT cycles at elizabeth but the shop has sinced changed hands but are available in most bike shops.The one we brought will carry up to 40kg and can carry one or two children.
We looked at others but couldn't use them as we run disc brakes on both mtb's, some trailers could not be used with disc brakes.

These are pretty expensive but the bmw of kiddie carriers coming with adjustable suspension even.

+1 for Chariot trailer. Top of the range and top of the prices but they are good.
I bought ours from Bernie Jones as well.
Our daughter started out in it when she was about 8-9 months old. The biggest problem was the helmet. They don't make helmets for under 1yo's. I think this is because the manufactures don't want the liability hassles especially for young children with skulls that are still forming. We used a beanie under the helmet for awhile. Our little girl still gets a bit cranky with the helmet sometimes.
Another good thing about the Chariot is that you can get a "stroller" option which adds two small wheels to the front so you can use it as a stroller. When we first got it we got the girl used of the idea being in the trailer by using it as the stroller...no helmet required! Also good for going to the zoo etc...ride in and then push them around in it.
I did the 60km coast to coast (meadows - victor) with it and it went well. Got up to nearly 60k/hr at one stage...just a bit over the recommended max of 25!

Hi, Bikes for Refugees has 3 or 4 good secondhand ones, that go on the back rack. You are welcome to have one or more (for one or more bikes!) for a very small donation.
The people who get our bikes, wont be familar with them, so we just take them off
