Was hauling my fat carcass up Milan Terrace this morning and signalled to turn right into Pine Ave. Two cars were coming downhill towards me and I signalled and expected to have to slow to a crawl to give way to them. Much to my surprise the front car stopped and waved me around the corner.
Don't know who you are my friend but you're an absolute nugget.

A car was legally parked in my not active North East Rd bike lane causing me to either slow dramtically to find a gap in the traffic or stop completely - however a chap in a stretch limo slowed down and waved me over so I didn't loose any momentum instead. Nice one limo-bloke!
Permalink Reply by Richard on February 12, 2012 at 12:34 I don't know if it's a subconscious change in my body language or a general change in driver's attitudes but I've had a lot more positive moments with car drivers recently - not pushing past me at roundabouts, sitting back when I take the lane, etc. I try to acknowledge every such incident with a wave of thanks which hopefully spreads the joy.

Something similar happened to me the other day. I made sure the motorist knew I was very thankful for their consideration.
